Las Vegas Campus Celebrates 10th Anniversary

PRESS RELEASE:

The European Massage Therapy School of Las Vegas celebrates their 10th anniversary this month. They are the leading school for career-minded individuals who are looking to learn a new skill in a fast-growing and rewarding field without the high costs of education.

The European Massage Therapy School (EMTS) started in 1997 in Skokie, IL with the mission of providing quality and affordable career-focused training in massage therapy. The school strives to create an atmosphere conducive to the interchange of ideas while instilling a high degree of ethics and professionalism in the student. EMTS is dedicated to advancing the art and science of massage therapy through excellence in education, personal and professional development of students, and community service by promoting health and wellness.

Las Vegas Campus Celebrates 10th Anniversary

On June 26, 2006, EMTS opened the doors to its satellite campus in Las Vegas, NV with one class of 10 students. Initially located across the street from the Boca Park shopping center in Summerlin, in six short years, the Las Vegas campus quickly outgrew this facility. On January 2, 2012, the EMTS Las Vegas campus moved to the Village Square shopping center in Summerlin into their current beautiful and spacious campus.

John Teng, the School Director, commented, “Everything we do, every policy we create and every decision we make for school is to give our students an excellent chance for success once they enter the job market. Additionally, we really love our loyal clients…they get great deals on spa services while getting an extraordinary experience and superior care across the industry.”

EMTS Las Vegas campus has grown to include 7 concurrent classes and runs a very busy and successful student massage clinic. School director John Teng (himself a proud alumni of EMTS in Skokie, IL) has combined his 12+ years experience as a massage therapist and over 20 years experience in management to create a student-centric learning environment that stays true to the EMTS mission. “We don’t have investors who can demand policies that are beneficial towards making money but may not be beneficial for the students. That’s why we insist on having small class sizes. As a student, I loved being in a small class. As an instructor, I love teaching small classes because we can focus more on individual student’s needs. That’s also why we are the only massage school I know in Las Vegas that has private massage rooms for our student clinic. Students can communicate clearly and more effectively with clinic clients and be able to customize each massage treatment to the client’s needs. Most massage schools use their classrooms for student clinic with each massage station separated only by curtains. That was my experience when I was a student and I felt I could have learned more had I done my student clinic in a day spa-like setting. So that’s what I created for the school. Now employers love our graduates because they are well prepared by our student clinic.” said Teng.

Over the last 10 years, EMTS Las Vegas campus has graduated over 500 students and has graduates working at day spas, 5-star destination spas, chiropractic offices, and athletic clubs, with some owning their own successful massage therapy businesses. EMTS graduates receive free massages in the student clinic for life, so they can provide valuable feedback and advice to the current students.

To celebrate this auspicious 10th anniversary, EMTS will be donating all proceeds from massages on June 24th through June 26th to Three Square, Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda, and Clark Counties. Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community.

EMTS is accredited by ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) and licensed by the CPE (Commission on Post-secondary Education). They offer federal financial aid, VA benefits, and Workforce Connections benefits to those who qualify.
